On Thursday, April 23, 2026, Nauticus honored the USS WISCONSIN Radio Club at its annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, naming the club the Top Adult Volunteer Group for 2025.

Ms. Susie Hill, the museum’s Volunteer Recognition Coordinator, presented the award in appreciation of the club’s outstanding service. Over the past year, club members contributed a total of 510 volunteer hours in support of Nauticus and the USS Wisconsin.

The commemorative plaque will be proudly displayed in the club’s shipboard display case.

Those in attendance included Bill Mellema, Marty Harpen, Bruce Kliche, and James Hull.
